Let's get quilting and make beautiful things together. I am a creative soul that loves to sew and quilt. I work and teach classes at a local quilt shop in Kingsport Tennessee. When I am not in the shop I am home working on the longarm quilting customer quilts, creating my own or working up designs for my next creation. A Lifetime of Creating, A Love of Quilting

Hi, I’m Regi, the designer and maker behind High Cotton Quilt Studio.

I began sewing when I was seven years old, and I have spent a lifetime turning ideas into something tangible. Over the years, I have sewn clothing, created gifts, explored painting and pottery, and discovered the art that feels most like home to me: quilting.

For more than seventeen years, quilting has given me a way to combine color, fabric, tradition, and creativity. High Cotton Quilt Studio grew from that love and a desire to help other quilters create work they are proud to call their own.

My designs are inspired by traditional quilts, Appalachian beauty, treasured fabrics, and the belief that timeless ideas can always be made fresh again.

Fun Facts About Me

I have been sewing since I was 7.

- that is 49 years

I was accepted to SCAD for fashion design back in 1989. -As life would have it, I did not ultimately get to attend

I once got fired from a job because I laughed too much. - I worked in the front office of a cemetery ;)

I am a creative soul, through and through. My creativities include but are not limited to painting, pottery, knitting, cross stitch, shoe making, and sculpture but most often I am sewing and quilting by hand or machines.

I am here to help

I love helping other quilters complete their projects. There are so many different types of quilters out there. There are those that love only the piecing work and they always use a longarm service to quilt their tops. Then there are those that just are not sure what to do, often those new to quilting. They got the quilt top pieced and don't know how to quilt it on their domestic machines they have at home, so they hire a longarm service to help. So, no matter where you are on your quilting journey, I am here to help. You can trust me to treat your projects with care.
